Wavec GmbH does functional hard chrome plating of rolls for the steel industry — a process where a line stoppage costs real money. A subsidiary of Nord Chrome, part of the ArcelorMittal group. The plant sits in Eisenhüttenstadt, some 30 km from our base.
A production hall is a different environment from an open-plan office: dust, humidity, electromagnetic noise and equipment that has to run two shifts. You design the network for the conditions, not for the photographs. On top of that comes the daily reality of a German-side company with a Polish-speaking team — documentation, invoices and support have to work in two languages at once.
Ongoing care with one named contact who knows the installation and does not start from scratch on every call. Requests come by phone or email, with no ticket system to fight through. Remotely we are in within seconds, on site within half an hour.
